Razer's StreamElements Rescue & Disney's $1.2B Exit

The Digital Dealflow

Good Morning,

Razer acquired StreamElements, the streamer-tools platform serving 2.6M daily creator users, from Live Momentum for undisclosed terms- 14 months after the platform nearly shut down following a failed fundraise. In martech, personalization platform Monetate picked up Simon AI, folding the AI-first customer-data platform into its experience-optimization stack for brand marketers.

London-listed IG Group agreed to acquire Underdog, the fantasy-sports and prediction-markets operator, for up to $1.3B ($1.1B upfront plus a $200M earnout)- Underdog booked $466M in net revenue in the year through June, up 21%, and ranks third among US prediction-markets venues behind Kalshi and Robinhood.

In legacy media, Disney sold its 50% stake in A+E Global Media, parent of A&E, History, and Lifetime, to Hearst for $1.2B in cash, ending a joint venture dating to 1984- Disney valued the stake at $2B a year ago. And the $55B take-private of Electronic Arts by Saudi Arabia's PIF, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners officially closed, taking the FIFA and Battlefield publisher off the public markets in the largest leveraged buyout ever.

TikTok paused its new dating feature one week after launch- the rare product with a shorter shelf life than a brand-safety policy.
